Tips and Tricks to Get Better at Roblox Rivals
Gameplay Mechanics
- Melee Attacks: Your knife has two attack options. A left click deals 40 damage but a right click to an enemy’s back deals 150 damage—enough for an instant kill.
- Katana Defense: The katana is not just for cutting; it can also deflect bullets. If you learn how to use this correctly, it can be a lifesaver in firefights.
- Position: Smart players use pillars and ramps to their advantage by shooting from places where they are less exposed. Pre-shooting at common enemy positions can also lead to easy kills.
Optimizing Game Settings
- Graphics Settings: Disabling shadows can help reduce lag and boost your FPS, which is crucial for smooth gameplay. But keep the textures to maintain good visibility.
- Field of View (FOV): Set your FOV to 100 for a wider view of the battlefield, making it easier to spot enemies.
- Cross Configuration: Change the thickness and shape of your cross hall match your target style. A custom crosshair can really sharpen your shooting accuracy.
- Camera Shake and Effects: Turn off camera shake and FOV effects to keep your aim steady, making it easier to track moving targets.
Movement Techniques
- Skating: This move is all about sliding and jumping right after you hit the ground. It’s a great way to move faster around the map than just walking. If you get the hang of it, your mobility during matches will explode.
- Grenade Jumping: Do you want to reach higher places or escape quickly? Try grenade jumping! Hold a grenade, throw it at your feet right before it explodes and makes a noise—you’ll fly further than a regular slide jump.
- Scythe Dash: The Scythe Dash is your ticket to quick repositioning. Pair it with clever moves and you’ll get around the map, making it harder for enemies to catch you. You can race in different directions by hitting the right movement keys.
- Crawl Jumps: Slide jump off the edge of a ramp to gain some height allowing you to spot and shoot enemies from angles they won’t expect. It’s a great trick that can completely catch your opponents off guard.
- Sidestepping: Use the slide mechanic to sneak up on enemies. Sliding off walls or ramps helps you get close without making a sound, giving you the upper hand in battle.
