The Final Form introduced a new Prismatic subclass that can be overpowered if you combine armor benefits with Prismatic Shards. There are 21 of them, and each one offers unique advantages that will make your game easier. Here’s how to get Prismatic Shards in Destiny 2.
Where to find Prismatic Shards in Destiny 2 (Map location)
Complete the Ergo Sum quest to get Prismatic Shards in Destiny 2. You can also find Prismatic Shards scattered around the world in gold chests. You’ll often get them as a reward after defeating incredibly difficult enemies. To discover more Prismatic Shards, visit the chest locations explained below.
Prism Fragment chest locations in Destiny 2
- You can find a chest containing a Prismatic Fragment in the mission where you search for Zavala in Destiny 2. To get the chest, you must first defeat the boss at the end of a mission. As you turn to escape, you’ll notice a chest in the back left corner before you turn right.
- Return to the starting area of the campaign to locate more Shards in Destiny 2. There, you’ll find lost ghosts that look like a trap because you’ll trigger an event that will reward you with a Prism Shard—if you survive.
- In the circular crystal section, you can find another fragment inside the refraction area. Grab the sun crystal and stay in the upper circular area to better position yourself for an upcoming battle. Survive a few waves of enemies to get a Fragment chest.
How to get more Prismatic Shards in Destiny 2
Collect each corrupted chest to find as many Prismatic Fragments as you can. Five mementos of darkness combine to form one prismatic memento keybox. One such chest is in the Divide at the top of the path. Before going down the elevator, look over the cliff edge and down to the right to find the glowing prism chest.
