Eiyuden Chronicle Hundred Heroes – How to save the game
While there are a lot of great things to say about the classic retro JRPG feel of Eiyuden Chronicle: One Hundred Heroes, the way the game's saving works isn't one of them. Unfortunately, you can't just save whenever you want and only have 20 save slots to play.

There are two ways to save in Eiyuden Chronicle: One Hundred Heroes:
- Adventure save points: You will see these relatively often. They are floating mechanisms with a glowing green disc above them (see the image above). You'll usually find them when you enter a quest area, on new maps inside dungeons, and just before bosses.
- Taverns: Every time you go to a tavern (either yours or in a town or village) you can talk to the tavern owner (or Cassandra in your tavern) and save the game there.
It's also easy to miss in the control list, but if you ever want to reload another save game, press Y to access the Load and Settings menuas well as being able to quit the game.
