How to see groundwater coverage in Manor Lords
Building new buildings in Manor Lords requires you to know even the smallest details about your land. I will show you how to use the underground water cover in Manor Lords so that you can find all the hidden water reservoirs on your land.
How to use the underground water cover in Manor Lords
The groundwater cover is activated from the construction menu. Open the build menu by pressing the build button at the bottom of the screen. It is the second button from the left and has a hammer on it.
After opening the build menu, a small list of overlays will appear in white writing on the right side of the screen. The second layer on this list is “groundwater”. Press this button to activate the groundwater coverage. The text will change to yellow when the overlay is activated.

With the roof activated, all underground water sources will appear as a blue overlay on the ground.
Structures such as wells can be placed within the blue area to use the water from the underground river.
Fix for “Groundwater coverage not working” in Manor Lords
In Manor Lords, some players have an issue where activating the underground water cover does nothing.
This problem is most likely due to a problem in the world settings. In particular, it deals with the Well Placement configuration. If Well Placement is set to “unlimited”, the groundwater coverage will not appear on the map.
To avoid this, make sure the Well Placement setting is set to “groundwater”. I recommend checking this setting before starting a map and checking the overlay first to make sure it works. This will prevent you from having to reset after making decent progress.
With the proper configuration selected, the groundwater coverage will work.
