In the Genshin Impact Simulanka World Quest called Story Footnotes, you must help toy soldiers discover their family history by forming symbols using Oracle Pillars and Magic Threads. Here are all the patterns you need to follow to solve the puzzles.
I’ll explain the puzzle mechanics in the first puzzle, but you have to apply the same concept across all three as you form different shapes.
Riddle #1
When starting the puzzle, the game will prompt you to interact with an object on the ground to insert the Clockwork Key used to operate the Oracle Pillar. It will trigger a device to appear. You need hit the device using Normal Attacks a few times until the Oracle Pillars fully emerge from the ground. If you don’t see the Pillars, attack the device a few more times!
You must use Magic Threads to connect the Oracle Pillars to each other, forming the goal shape. Use the special interactive key (T for PC) to start the puzzle. Pay attention to the location of the symbol that indicates the starting point of the connection. Go near the Oracle Pillar you want to connect with the Pillar that contains the symbol, then press the special interactive key to connect the two. Do the same until the full shape is complete.
In the example above, the symbol is on the right, so I would stand close to the left Pillar and press the special interactive key to connect the right and left Pillars together.
Refer to the image above for the target symbol you need to form for the first puzzle. Pay attention to the positions of the device and toy soldiers to make sure you solve it in the same orientation.
Riddle #2 and answers to door questions
Before solving the second puzzle, you must interact with a door that will ask a question. These are all the answers:

| What is more real, the fiction of the outside world, or the truth of this world? | Maybe… both are equally real. |
Set up the puzzle similarly to the first—hitting the device with a Normal Attack until the Oracle Pillars all appear. Then use the Magic Threads to form the exact symbol pictured above. Use the position of the stairs as a reference for the orientation of the image.
Riddle #3
Set up the third puzzle as you did the first two. But this time, you have to break the stacks of crates around the area reveal two hidden Oracle Pillars. Without them, you will not be able to form the required symbol.
Once you have revealed all the Oracle Pillars, connect the Magic Threads to form the symbol pictured above to solve the puzzle.
