In the Wuthering Waves Research Quest called We Promise, We Deliver, you have to solve the fire thrower puzzle by using the Levitator to connect the gas tanks. It took me a few tries to figure this out, so follow the full walkthrough below to connect all the ducts correctly.

Wuthering Waves uses a Levitator to connect fuel tank pipelines – a fire-throwing puzzle solution
Before starting, be sure to equip the Levitator with the Utility Wheel (press and hold TAB on PC; press and hold the Utility button on mobile). The Levitator controls are as follows:
- Press the T or Utility button to pick up an item with the Levitator.
- Press the E button (Resonance Skill button) when lifting an object to rotate it.
- Click the Basic Attack button to throw the object or insert it.
Starting the puzzle, you’ll be in a room with the Exile Resonator, a gas tank, and two broken pipes. It is a central room with doors leading to two other rooms on opposite ends. For clarity, we will call this location Room A.
Start by picking up the vertical pipe with the Levitator. Turn the pipe once so that its orientation changes to horizontal, then drop it onto the empty space between the pipes at the fuel tank. Doing so will complete the first connection, triggering a small cutscene.
Next, go to the room next to the Exile Resonator. We will call this place Room B.
Go to the edge of the room and grab the L-shaped pipe, then drop it through the empty space with the glowing blue connector. Without turning, the tube should connect to the left side, as pictured in the second image in the slideshow above.
Then, on the opposite side of the room, grab the second L-shaped pipe with the Levitator. You must carefully bring the pipe to the other room on the opposite side of Room A. We will call the location Room C. As soon as you enter Room C, drop the pipe to connect the two segments, as pictured in the third photo above.
While still in Room C, grab the vertical pipe with the Levitator. This time, you need to deliver the vertical pipe up to Room B. Rotate the vertical pipe so that it changes orientation, then drop it between the pipes at the entrance to Room B to connect them. A small cutscene of the fire burning higher should play.
Finally, return to Room A to pick up the last L-shaped pipe with the Levitator. Take it to Room C, turn it once so it’s on the right, then use it to connect the last two segments. The exact position is pictured in the second image above. Dropping the last pipe will trigger another small cutscene to play, completing the objective.
