MultiVersus PvE mode to feature co-op, volleyball, bosses, and will allow you to turn your opponent into a chicken
The full release of MultiVersus is coming very soon and developer Player First Games has shared details about its brand new PvE mode titled “Rifts”. This mode will allow players to experience the game in a unique way than the PvP mode and will be constantly updated to keep it fresh.
MultiVersus’ “Rifts” PvE Mode will let players experience the game in a different way
The Rift mode will give players the ability to explore the multiverse and participate in various encounters. These will also have gameplay effects like battle mutants that will make each encounter truly unique.
Each Rift is like a campaign that will have a set of battles, challenges and mission objectives that players will need to complete in order to progress. These will also have themes set to specific seasonal settings such as Chaos in the upcoming season, themed around the Joker.
In each Rift, players will be placed in a Node that has different challenges for players to complete. On top of that, you’ll have access to unique mutants like turning your opponents into a chicken with the Chicken Gauntlet Mutator. The Nodes have a variety of challenges and mini-games that aim to keep the gameplay loop fresh. These include a quick click game or even competitive volleyball to spice things up.
To top it off, you’ll be put into a Rift-themed boss fight at the end of a stage that will test all your experience. Completing these Rifts and boss battles will give you amazing rewards.
To power up, you’ll need to use Gems (earned by playing the game and through the Battle Pass), which will give you a boost to your abilities. Getting different versions of the same Gem will allow you to level them up and make you even more powerful, which will make the boss fight more than passable.
The Rifts mode sounds seriously awesome for players who want to try something different from the traditional PvP mode, this looks like a great mode to dive into for hours.
