Old Market Simulator Guide – Professional Game Guides
Old Market Simulator is a shopping simulation game on a small island. To complete all the quests, you will need to open your store and start selling items to the citizens of the island.
Old Market Simulator Guide – All Quests
You will start Old Market Simulator on the central island. On this island, you can find all the shops you need to get started and ways to expand your store. Here is a map of the main island:
The first thing you will need to do is complete the quest Standswhich requires you to get a stand from the Lumberjack. From the starting location, turn right, then go around the corner to the right. The Lumberjack will be in the back corner. Next, you’ll need to put it in your store for search Stand Placement. Next, go to the dock west of your store and order some items to sell. You will have the option to purchase four different items:
- bread: 12 for 660c. Lasts 2 days.
- an egg: 10 for 120c. Lasts 3 days.
- Carrot: 15 for 270c. Lasts 5 days.
- potato: 25 for 400c. Lasts 5 days.
I suggest buying two of each, which is enough to store your store a bit without taking too long to move everything the next day. Once all your items are ordered, you need to go up the stairs to the west of your store to go to your bedroom, which is right above your store. Interact with the bed to sleep until the next day.
The items you ordered will be placed on the dock near the ship on the west side of the island; use the ski lift-like transportation system to move them all closer to the store to complete Transportation. Fill your shelves, then set prices by hovering over each of the items and pressing X. After that open up the store by interacting with the CLOSED sign on the door. To complete your First Saleyou have to hover over each of the items the customer puts on the counter and press E. Then the customer will pay; take the bag with E.
Location of the Calendar of Events
The following search will take you to an event calendar. This can be found in the Grand Bazaar, which is outside the door of your shop. From there, go right and continue straight into the giant building. A few feet up and to the left to the right in the building will be a State Officer. The calendar will hang on the wall a little to the right of his stand.
Let There Be Light Walking
Next, there will be a search to Let there be Light; you have to go to the decoration store which is in the Bazaar near the State Officer. There are many different types of decorative lights that you can buy; choose one of them, and then put it somewhere in your store.
Trash Walk
As soon as you have an empty box of things you are selling, you will get the quest Trash canwhich requires you to bring out the empty boxes. There is a burning fire right in front of your store that you can throw them into. you can consolidate two partially empty boxes or baskets of the same items if you take one of them, then use the V key on the other.
Cleaning Attorney
Cleaning is the next quest; you must go back to the Lumberjack, and buy a broom for 50c. Clean any dirty spots that have little floating white pieces on it. The broom, like all other tools in Old Market Simulator, will eventually break; the rest durability will be at the bottom right of the screen when you hold the broom.
How to unlock the Farm
Next, you need to unlock the farm. This will allow you to buy seeds and plant your own vegetables and fruits to earn extra money. Go to the Architect, located inside the Grand Bazaar. When you enter the Grand Bazaar, immediately turn left, then turn right at the dead end; the Architect will be at the end of this corridor. He will have a whole bunch of expansions you can buy, including the first one Farm Field for 500c.
How to order new products
The next quest will be to get permissions to order a larger variety of products from the Menu. Go to where the Calendar was, then interact with the State Officer. You can pay for the ability to order all different types of products, including new products, jellies and all sorts of other things. To complete the quest, you just have to buy one of these.
Where is the stable?
The last quests will see you buy a horse and put it in your barn. To unlock the barn, you must go back to the Architect in the Grand Bazaar. Unlock Barn 1which you will have to scroll down to see. Then go to the Animal Market, which is right next to the Lumberjack. Buy a Horse; there will be one for 1,000c and one for 2,500c. The 2,500c horse walks faster, carries twice as much as the cheaper horse, and is higher maintenance. I propose to get the more expensive horse; worth the extra cost. The Barn is located right next to the Animal Market; bring the box and put in the horse’s hay. Press H to call your horse.
How to get all achievements in Old Market Simulator
There are a total of 10 achievements you can earn in Old Market Simulator, and all of them only require fairly basic progression.
- A Farmer’s Delight: Harvest your first crop. Buy a Farm expansion from the Architect, weed the farming area, plant seeds from the Gardener, then water them for several days until they grow. Selecting them will place them in a box, allowing you to place them on display in your store.
- Tree Mendous: Harvest from a tree for the first time. Plant a Gardener’s tree on your farm, then wait for it to bear fruit. Pick the fruits from the tree to get this achievement.
- Fish Whisperer: Catch your first fish. The Lumberjack sells a boat, an oar and a fishing pole; there is a dock for the boat a little to the left of the Lumberjack’s booth. There is a fishing map on the boat; using them to figure out where to go to fish some to sell. You can get a fish display counter at the Lumberjacks as well.
- Animal collector: Harvesting from an animal for the first time. Place a goat, cow or other animal from the Animal Market in your Barn, then collect milk from them.
- Meat the Butcher: Cut your first animal for meat. Buy an animal from the Animal Market, then get a knife; use the knife on the animal to get this achievement.
- Net Earnings: Use a fish trap for the first time. The Lumberjack sells fishing tackle as well as the other fishing gear you will need.
- High Tech Farming: Harvest your first crop from a greenhouse. The Architect has expansions for you to acquire greenhouses that will allow you to grow seasonal crops at any time of the year. Grow something inside one to get this achievement.
- Meat cleaver: Cut meat at the meat cutter for the first time. You can buy a meat cleaver from the Engineer for 10,000c; use meat in it to cut it.
- Baker’s Delight: Bake your first delicious treat in the oven. Stoves can be bought from the Engineer in town for 5,000c, but you need the Architect’s Workshop expansion before you can buy one.
- A Brand New You: Change the name of your market. Stand under the sign above the door of your shop. Check it out to change the name.
Old Market Simulator FAQ – Junkyard, Cellar, Events
There’s a lot to do in Old Market Simulator, so you might be wondering about some odds and ends around town or that might happen while playing.
What does the Garbage Man do?
The Scavenger buys unwanted items from you at half value. Take the unwanted item into his shop, then throw it into the grinder using F. The price of the item will appear on the screen above the grinders; press the red button to the right of the grinders to accept.
What does the Cellar do?
The Cellar is used to store items to stop the rotting process. When you have items that only last a few days, but you want to save them for the next season, you can store them in the Cellar. Items can be either dropped on the floor or stored on shelves. The Basement must be unlocked with the Architect.
What is Hacker Visit / Frostbite / Heatwave / Inflation?
There are random events that can happen during specific seasons, or randomly at any time. Inflation makes the cost of buying things higher, and Pirate Visits make some items unsellable. Frostbite and Heatwave, which occur in winter and summer respectively, mean you’ll see far fewer customers than normal. For more information, press ESC, then mouse over the event name.
