The original Red Dead Redemption game and its Story DLC Undead Nightmare are now available for free if you are a Grand Theft Auto Plus Subscriber.
Red Dead Redemption, which was released in 2010, can be claimed completely free of charge starting today for players subscribed to GTA+. For Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PlayStation5 and PlayStation 4.
PlayStation Users will get the Remaster edition of Red Dead Redemption 1 which was released last year and is playable in 4K Resolution and 60FPS, while Xbox Users will get the original version which was released in 2010. Although on Xbox the Original version is upscaled 4k Resolution and 30FPS.
GTA+ Members will only keep the game as long as they keep their Grand Theft Auto + Subscription. Once you cancel your subscription, you will lose full access to play Red Dead Redemption 1.
There’s also an offer for GTA+ members right now. You can buy Red Dead Redemption 1 for a 20% discount, meaning that Xbox Users can claim the original game for £19.99 instead of the usual £24.99 price tag. While PlayStation users can claim the Remaster version for £31.99 instead of the usual £39.99. Although the PlayStation sale ends tonight (March 26, 2024) and should continue exclusively for GTA+ Subscribers.
Red Dead Redemption Undead Nightmare is also free on Xbox for GTA+ members, with it also discounted to £5.40 from £6.75 if you want to keep it for good.
On the Xbox GTA+ Games section, it also lists the War Horse, the Golden Weapon Pack, and the Deadly Assassin Outfit as free for GTA+ members and 20% off if you want to buy outright. Normally priced at 65p but now available for 52p.
If you’ve never played Red Dead Redemption or Undead Nightmare, then this is the perfect time to download and try them out, you won’t be disappointed. The games are still going on 14 years later.
