Reliable Insidious: Red Dead Redemption 2 Next-Gen Upgrade Next Fall 2025

Trusted insiditor Nate the Hate has confirmed the fame that Red Dead Redemption 2 receives a subsequent gene update, with an edition scheduled for Nintendo Switch 2, PS5 and Xbox Series X | s later this fall. The game has not seen any current Gen Council improvements since the original edition in 2018, in the PS4 and Xbox One systems.

Nate the hatred confirmed the rumors during Podcast episode On his YouTube channel, revealing that he originally expected Nintendo to reveal it at straight: “I feel like it’s a game that Nintendo would like to have as the main line for the Switch 2.” Previously the insident correctly predicted the date of disclosure for the Nintendo -Switch 2, that being January 16, 2025.

Possible improvements

Red Dead Redemption 2 remains a visual masterpiece almost seven years after launch, but the console experience begins to show its age. The game still works in back compatible mode, locked to PS4-level performance. This means that no native subsequent gene enhancements: only 30fps and controlled 4K resolution. Fans begged for years to upgrade its great flag title just behind GTA V, and now it seems that the desire will eventually come true.

So what could look like a follow-gene update for RDR2? For one, the PS5 consoles and current gene Xbox are far more powerful than the hardware that the game originally launched. This means that 60fps finally needs to be on the table, something that players have been waiting for since 2018. Resolution will probably also accelerate acceleration, with the PS5 Pro maybe using PSSR to approach a native 4K as possible without sacrificing performance. We expect the next-gene version to match the PC release in many ways, with settings pushed to high or ultra and improved detail across the board. If that is the case, the visual jump must be significant.

Switch 2 -performance

The Switch 2 is expected to be a powerful handle, but it still falls behind current gene consoles when it comes to raw hardware. Because of this, we do not see RDR2 operating at stable 60fps in the system. A more likely scenario is something like Cyberpunk 2077, with the game aiming 1440p around 40fps, possibly raised using NVIDIA DLSS. We expect visual settings to be pushed beyond the PS4 and Xbox One settings, which are mostly equivalent to low settings on PC.

RDR2 will definitely get a growth of new sales if it actually gets next gene later this year, with the game sold over 60 million copies, the Juggernaut could be a holiday hit again. Stay tuned to Rockstarintel for any updates on this possible reissue and any other red dead news updates.
