Rockstar games have just surprised many GTA 6 fans, but not in the way they had hoped. It’s been over a year since Rockstar games recently mentioned something about GTA 6, so fans were naturally waiting for something.
Instead, the company started a new communication channel: their own Discord server. This development feels quite strange, considering the level of secrecy and lack of Rockstar sometimes. This said, this will be a welcome endeavor of fans. It will be interesting to see if this means that GTA 6 News is on the horizon or how Rockstar will use the platform.
Surprise to be sure but welcome
The unexpected news was announced late on Wednesday by various Fan websites Rockstar told his new server. Yes, this is official and run by Rockstar Games himself. In just half an hour, it brought more than 12,000 members. All channels are fierce activity with fans expressing their excitement of the existence of the server and GTA VI.
This server offers fans to chat about all the titles from Rockstar from GTA and Red Dead Redemption to classics. There is a dedicated channel for Grand Theft Auto VI under the latest and next category. You can then see a large set of GTA internet channels from searching for groups to jobs and more. Meanwhile Red Dead Online -players can detach and talk about their roles.
How to join the Rockstar Games Disk Server
If you would like to join the Rockstar Games Disk Server, simply click on the link here. When you join, you will be asked if you would like to choose roles that leave you Squad with other players on GTA Online or Red Dead Online if you want to do so. There are also roles for events, gifts, ads and news posts.
Rockstar is not new to disagreement
This is not the first entry in disagreement for Rockstar games. Last August, they collaborated with the chat platform to have an unlocked GTA V avatar ornamentation. Players simply had to play GTA online on PC for 15 minutes to require the item. You can learn more about this here.
Another more interesting communication change from Rockstar is that they started WhatsApp Channel back in 2024. They share the same posters of platforms as Twitter to fans directly in WhatsApp.
In other GTA 6 news, the general manager of Rockstar’s parent company bothered PC at some point and he closed concerns about AI and violence. The game is still aimed at falling 2025 and that helped raise Take-Two’s share price.
