Critters’ favorite foods in The Storybook Vale (Disney Dreamlight Valley)

You can tell you have fed an animal their favorite food because they will show happiness before eating. For animals that fly, you will see them do a loop in the air before they settle down on the perch to eat. When they are finished, you will see multiple hearts to appear.

Owl (all variants) Any grain (Hodeo, Rice, Wheat, etc.).
Baby Dragon (all variants) Magma (mined from stones in The Elysian Fields, The Fiery Plains, The Shadow of The Statue, and Olympus).
Pure Ice (mined from rocks in The Wild Forest, Teapot Falls, The Fallen Fort, and The Beanstalk Swamps).
Pegasus (all variants) Bouillabaisse (2x Any Seafood, 1x Shrimp, 1x Tomato, 1x Any Vegetable).

How to feed each animal

Livestock can sometimes be difficult to eat. Raccoons, for example, require a strange game of red light, green light where you have to get as close as possible before they notice.

Each animal will require you to feed them the food they enjoy the most. But, how many times you have to do this is the real question. We’re still figuring this out, so please check back soon.

To make an animal your companion after you’ve unlocked them, draw your wardrobe and click on companions. you can select an animal to equip of all the ones you’ve unlocked in any part of Disney Dreamlight Valley – whether they’re from the base game or one of the DLCs. Your partner will follow you around while you play.
