There are three different types of currency you can earn in Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions: Moonstones, Gold and Wing Keys. However, Moonstone currency is probably the most important because its main purpose is to provide upgrades for your team’s sweepers.

Moonstones can be accumulated as early as the Learning Mode of the game, as you begin to gain experience from each learning that goes towards your Career and unlocking levels within the current Season of the game. Once you have full access to your Team and can start participating in different modes (eg – Campaign, Multiplayer, Exhibition), you can really start grinding for Moonstones and various other rewards.

Once you have acquired a large amount of Moonstones, go to your ‘My Team’ tab, select one of your teammates, and select theirs ‘Performance’ option This will bring you to a submenu where you can upgrade their Skills (if you have points available) or their broom. Scroll to ‘bakers’where you will see their currently equipped broomstick and its stats.

To update the sweeper, select the ‘Preview Update’ option right above the statistics screen (as seen above), which will pull up the ‘Confirm Broom update’ notification It also shows you which stats will get updates and how much. You can also choose ‘Swing Details’ to see exactly which stats under the three main categories will be boosted.

On knocking ‘Confirm Update’your teammate’s broom will receive the desired upgrade and increase by one level (seen just below the name of the broom). Spend your Moonstones wisely with as many of your teammates as possible so your team stays well balanced as your Career grows.

Moonstones are basically earned by playing (and preferably winning) as many matches as possible in each of the game’s different modes. If you prefer to play alone, the Campaign and Exhibition modes can provide many opportunities to level up and earn many rewards.

However, if you want to focus on something that specifically rewards Moonstones, completing Master Challenges is a reliable method. These can be seen by scrolling to the ‘Challenges’ tab of the Player Menu.

From the drop-down menu on the left, scroll down to ‘Career’ Challenges that will bring four categories, inclusive ‘Mastering’. This requires you to effectively “manage” each of the four types of positions in Quidditch by performing various tasks for them. Once you do, you will receive a set amount of Moonstones as a reward.
