Where to find the Lamenter’s Mask in Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree

Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree DLC will let you become a Lamentor with a special item called the Lamentor’s Mask. This is how you can get this item in the game.

You can get the Lamenter’s Mask from the Lamenter’s Gaol dungeon, northwest of Charo’s Hidden Grave Region in the DLC. Specifically, you must defeat the Lamenter who is the boss of this dungeon to unlock this item. You will need to go from the Tooth Peak to the Great Altar of the Dragon Community to reach Charo’s Hidden Tomb. From there, travel northwest and you’ll find the Wailing Gaol.

The Lamentero is a relatively easy boss that you can easily take down. It has a few jump attacks and one attack with its head. Its special attack spawns clones of it to attack you with black flame. the clones can be taken down with one hit. Whether you’re magic or melee, you shouldn’t have a hard time with this boss. The only thing worth mentioning is that it hits very hard, so be sure to run away from its attack. After you defeat it, you will be awarded with the Mask of the Lamenter.

The Lamenter’s Mask turns you into a Lamenter while wearing it without any armor. It also gives a small boost to your damage negation. This form also has a special ability where equipping the mask again will cause your head to swell and deal damage in the direction you are facing. However, it is not as effective with enemies that have high balance. The only way to get rid of the Lamenter form is by dying.
