How to get Throwing Weapons early in Elden Ring Shadow Of The Erdtree
Throwing blades are part of your arsenal that can be equipped and thrown as projectiles, magically reappearing in your hand after each throw. This means they are not disposable like throwing knives or kukris. They are generally located on corpses and in chests across the Shadowlands. The best throwing weapon you can find early in Shadow of the Erdtree is the Smithscript Daggerso you should focus on finding that first, along with other strong early-game weapons like the Backhand Blade.
To find the Smithscript Dagger, first go in the direction to the south from the Castle Front Place of Grace towards the cliff cleft. But make sure you don’t go straight into the slot, instead aiming for its right side. You will soon arrive at a cave entrance that leads to the Ruined Forge Lava Consumption a dungeon that is located underground.
You shouldn’t be surprised to learn that this dungeon is full of all kinds of environmental hazards and dangers around every corner, so be sure to play it safe here. The dagger itself is found on a corpse lying along the main road that goes through the dungeon, just after a large room with a a ladder that you will have to climb down.
Once you climb down, you will find yourself on a large platform overlooking a pool of lava. There is a corpse located in the far away angle from the platform right next to one of the dungeon’s rock giant enemies. You can defeat this enemy by attacking the gem on his back. When this is done, robbery the corpse to get your Smithscript Dagger.

The Smithscript Dagger is much like any other Dagger or projectile consumable in Elden Ring. Its light attack fires a dagger flying out in a straight line; its heavy attack makes you charge a more powerful throw.
