The co-op events continue to roll out for Final Fantasy XIV, and now, courtesy of Twitch, Warriors of Light everywhere have a chance to earn in-game rewards just in time for the Dawntrail expansion, including a rare mount. If you’re wondering how the event works and how to claim all the items, here’s our handy guide to all the FFXIV Dawntrail Twitch collaboration rewards: How to get Chocorpokkur Mountain and more.

How to participate and earn rewards from the FFXIV Dawntrail Twitch co-op event

According to the announcement on The Lodestone, if you want to participate in the FFXIV x Twitch collaboration event, you will first need to make sure you have a Twitch account created and active, which is free. Once the event is live, log in to Twitch and search for a participating livestream with the Tag “Rewards for viewers”. listed in the description.

The goal of the event is to watch any of these qualifying livestreams for up to six hours, which will then provide you with some special in-game rewards for FFXIV and your new Dawntrail adventures. There are a few things to keep in mind, though, when it comes to making sure your viewing time counts toward those rewards:

  • You must have the qualifying livestream on your screen for it to count toward your total viewer time. It cannot be streamed in the background or hidden in an inactive tab.
  • Verify that you have enabled the FINAL FANTASY XIV Online campaign found in the Open Rewards Campaign (within Creator Dashboard > Rewards).
  • Any hours watched before the start date of the collaboration event will not count towards your total viewership for the event.
  • The livestream you select must have the “Viewer Rewards” tag listed in its description. If not, then any viewing time in that stream will not count.

There are a number of different in-game rewards for players to earn while watching these Twitch streams, and the more hours you watch, the more rewards you’ll get. The rewards themselves include:

  • 1 Hour Watched: EXP Boost Food (Buttery Mogbiscuit & Fat Choco Choco) x10
  • 3 Hours Watched: Aetheryte Ticket x 10
  • 6 Hours Watched: Chocorpokkur Whistle (Mountain)

The Chocorpokkur Mountain in particular is a pleasant surprise, as this mountain was originally only available in 2021 during an exclusive collaboration event with Butterfinger.

The FFXIV x Twitch collaboration event starts right after Dawntrail Early Access starts (see how to register) July 2 at 1 o’clock (PDT), on the official launch day of the Dawntrail expansion. It will last until Monday, July 29th at 1am (PDT)which gives players just under a month to participate.

As you gain hours of viewership on various Twitch streams, once you reach one of the hourly thresholds for in-game rewards, you’ll receive a special item code to redeem for that reward. Check your Twitch system notifications when this happens, and collect your code for that item.

Next, log into Mog Station with your Square Enix account and go to the “Registration Codes” button on the panel, followed by “Enter Item Code”. There, you can paste your code to redeem the reward. Make sure you have the character you want to get the reward selected, as these items are not account-wide and can only be redeemed once.
