Since it is a Warden build, the Main Archetype will be the Warden that you unlocked by collecting the required item from the dying Necropolo region of N’Erud. Main advantage of Warden—Dynamic—regenerates shield automatically and increases the Energy Reserves for N’Erud technology (ie, Drone and Turret) by 50%. Therefore, it is best to pair this character with an Engineer as the Secondary Archetype so that the turret gets a free boost.
Skills
As you level up the character, you’ll have the option to use Heal or Battle Drones, but Warden really shines when you use Shield Drone as the Primary Ability due to its compatibility with the perks. The drone follows and protects you or the selected teammate (guarded target) until the shield is full and reduces incoming damage by 10%. Use this with the Engineer Vulcan Turret that automatically targets the enemies and fires until it runs out of ammo.

The weapons you want to use with the Warden Archetype in Remnant 2 are up to you, but I have some good recommendations. For the Long Gun, I went with the Plasma Knife because it is one of the best weapons in the game thanks to its excellent rate of fire. Having said that, I suggest you give the new one monorail give it a try, especially if you are looking for an affordable single shot weapon.
an enigma is everyone’s choice for the Handgun in Remnant 2, but the new one Repair Tool there is something that caught my attention. It can kill enemies, heal allies, and replenish Energy Reserves for N’Erudian technology. Finally equip the Reaper Scythe melee that was specially designed for the Warden Archetype for The Dark Horizon DLC.
A relic
Saved Heart is one of the best Relics that can be used in Remnant 2. After using it on a gray health bar, your HP bar will be completely restored. In addition, its application is fast with a 50% usage speed bonus.
Armour
To perfect the Warden build, I had to get the new Nanoplated Armor Set as it completes the look. It can be obtained from a hanging body in the Withered Necropolis region of N’Erud. The Nanoplate Set is a light armor that allows you to dodge faster and consumes less stamina, but you can swap out some parts to suit your requirements.
Amulet
Energy Diverter is one of the best Amulets to combo with this shield-focused Warden build. It gives 10 Critical Chance and 15% to all damage when shield is active, which will be how you use the Shield Drone. Another good choice is the Zero Divide Amulet that gives infinite ammo and increases damage by 15%.
Rings
- Ring of Supplies: Refills heavy weapon ammo gradually while carrying or in surveillance mode and doubles the stored heavy weapon ammo regeneration.
- Mechanics Cog: Gives a 15% movement speed buff while wearing the Engineer’s turret.
- A’Taerii Booster: Adds 10% damage and critical chance to heavy weapons in carry and scout modes.
- Custodian’d Bastion: Increases armor by 1 per 2% of active shield.

The Barrier Trait was added in Remnant 2 for the Warden Archetype, so it is a must for this build. It increases the effectiveness of the user’s shields so that you will get the boost even when the guarded target is your ally. By leveling the Archetype, the Warden’s shield amount can be increased to +15% reaching max level 10.
