The current Fallout 4 update, which was released in April 2024, added the Tesla Cannon, an amazing weapon that many people want to get their hands on, including The Enclave. If you complete the quest “Echoes of the Past”, you will have heard that they have their eyes set on this weapon. Here's how to complete Fallout 4's “Best of Three” quest and get this awesome weapon.
If you want to start this quest, you need to make sure you have the update that was released for the game downloaded. Once you've done this, the quest will automatically appear in your quest log when you enter the game for the first time.
How to start and complete a “Best of Three” quest in Fallout 4
To actually get started, you'll need to go to your radio on the Pip-Boy and listen to the “Vault-Tec Distress Signal.” This will then send you to an area near the Edge of the Burning Sea. You can fast travel to that location and find the body of a Treasury 95 Gunner who has a Holotape on him that you will have to listen to. The tape will tell you about how the man and his friends at Vault 95 would annoy another man named Caroni when they had nothing better to do.
After listening to it, you will be sent to a nearby church named Hopesmarch Pentecostal Churchwhere will you find another Treasury 95 Gunner. Be careful when you get to the church because there will be a lot of Wild Ghouls around. After taking care of the Ghouls, you can rob the gunner and download his Pip-Boy data. To do so, select the prompt to do so (found next to the Pick up and Transfer options).

Once you've taken care of that, you'll be sent to Relay tower 0DB-621, where you will find yet another Treasury 95 Gunner whose Pip-Boy data you can download. You will then need to pull out your Pip-Boy and access the “Gunner Sign Remnant” station, which is the signal you will have to follow to your final destination.
Where to follow the Gunner Signal Remnant to
Once you start following the sign, you will go west and then southwest until you find it Skylanes Flight 1665. Here you will find the final body, which contains a Holotape saying that Caroni killed his Vault Gunner Squadmates with the Tesla Cannon as revenge for the torture they put him through. As soon as you get out of this, Caroni will attack you with the Tesla Cannonstarting a battle that you will have to win.
How to get the Tesla Cannon
You will have to kill Caroni to get the Tesla Cannon from him. To do this, you'll want to attack him with all your might. Try not to move around too much during the fight as there are some Deathclaws in the area that could cause problems if you counter them and they join the fight.
After killing him, you will find that the Tesla Cannon is not in his inventory; instead, you will have to pick it up from the ground. Once you have the Tesla Cannon, you can put this horror story to rest and keep it safe from The Enclave.
