BHVR is giving fans a new game for the 8th anniversary of Dead by Daylight (get it while you can)

Behavior Interactive (BHVR) loves giving fans gifts, whether it’s new Game Cards, free Bloodpoint codes, or even entire games. For the 8th anniversary of Dead by Daylight, you will enjoy playing a fun new game called What the Fog.

WTF is a two-player co-op roguelike game where Dwight, Claudette, and Feng Min are sucked into a cursed board game and must escape. There’s also a single-player mode, but it’s definitely more fun with a friend.

The best part of the game is that the first 2 million copies are free! To get the game, you will need to register for a Behavioral account and then follow the steps on the website to download the game for free. If you miss out on this freebie, the game is also available on Steam for $4.99.

You’ll first choose a difficulty and character you want to play as, all of which have different attacks and abilities. Once you do, you’ll be thrown into the first room where you have to activate five generators by collecting enough Bloodpoints. You get them by shooting and killing the monsters on the map.

Once you activate all five generators, the exit door will be activated (similar to the original Dead by Daylight), and you can proceed to the next room. However, I suggest killing a lot of enemies in the first rooms, because the Bloodpoints transport; this will only make your life easier.

As you go through more rooms, the enemies get stronger, but so do you with various abilities and upgrades you can get. There is also a special boss room that you must defeat to progress further.

Even though it’s a pretty simple game, I had a lot of fun trying to clear all the levels. It’s also fun to fight back instead of just running from Assassins and fixing generators. Although not in the plans, hopefully the game will become popular enough that we can see more DBD characters added.
