If it’s not enough just to watch the Queen Sashay in the latest season of Ru Paul’s Drag Race, you can now do it in DTI by playing the style show. Become the next spectacular queen or leave with an iconic quote (Miss Vanjie), whatever the case, you will definitely enjoy a change of rhythm to impress.
To play the new mode, make sure you choose a style show on the server list, and then enter the area to join a match. Each style show can have at least six players and at most ten players. Will I force all my friends in the game to hit them with my fashion expertise? Absolutely.
So far, this is just the beta version of the mode. The developers said their goal is to improve and publish updates especially with player feedback. If you want to see something added or changed, you can reach them with the DTI social media.
As I enjoy the regular theme (and non-theme) fashion competition that the game provides, I’m definitely happy to see the stakes raised in a DTI-style show. While Lana tightens the racetrack just like the iconic RU Paul does, the competition starts.
There are regular rounds and fast rounds, all with specific themes and demands, but both end in other players voting for the best suits (first three, later two, and finally one). Unfortunately you can’t vote for yourself, though I tried.
In addition to the fashionable look of the game, you will also enjoy a fun mini -game with the pose synchronization (clearly inspired by the LIP sinking of RPDR), where you present your life and stay in the competition. My first exhibition and I became the Assassin of Pose Sync and I’m proud of it, though I didn’t win the big finale.
So far, Style Showdown is a mode that can keep me playing for hours, but I’m definitely excited to see future updates. I hope for some way to include an output game.
