Fortnite Iron Spider Skin leaked, sparks prices mixed reactions among fans

Fortnite’s collaboration with Marvel continues to create sparks among fans as Fortnite x Iron Spider-Man finally surfaces. According to the leaks, the skin and items, inspired by Spider-Man’s iconic Iron Spider suit, will be coming to the game’s store this Friday at 8pm ET.
The leaks originally came from SpushFNBR and were reiterated by two of the most trusted Fortnite leakers, ShiinaBR and iFireMonkey. According to those leaks, the Iron Spider Skin will be available for 2,000 V-Bucks, which will have free Back Bling, Glider, and Pickaxe. Additionally, the items include an Emote and Wrap priced at 500 V-Bucks each and a Guitar for 1,000 V-Bucks. You can also get the whole bundle for 2,600 V-Bucks.
While the new content generated a wave of excitement among fans, the prices garnered mixed reactions. Many are raving about the newly added spider skin, showing their eagerness to add it to their collection, with one pointed comment simply declaring, “I want it.”
On the other hand, some players call these items “overpriced”, with some of them wanting access to Tony Stark’s account, stating, “At this rate, I’m going to need Tony Stark’s bank account to pay for all these skins.” Many other tweets emphasize that 500 V-Bucks for an emote or adding Back Bling, Glider and Pickaxe with the skin is unnecessary.
The overpricing debate highlights the wider concern within Fortnite, meaning that the prices of cosmetics are constantly increasing. One tweet highlighted this perfectly by noting that the Fortnite Wanda bundle was only 1,800 V-Bucks.
Overall, the full bundle for 2,600 V-Bucks provides the best value as just the skin is 2,000 V-Bucks. Either way, with only days to go before the Iron Spider bundle becomes available, it remains to be seen how the community will ultimately react.
