How to deal with the starfish in a Content Warning

Hanging from a ceiling might be great content for your SpookTube channel, but it's not great for your survivability. See how to treat the starfish in a Content Warning below.

How to avoid the Starfish monster in Content Warning

You might not think that the star-shaped monster looks the most dangerous of the entire Content Warning monster list, but it sure is, especially if you end up alone. With teammates, it's a little more bearable.

The starfish is located on the ceiling, so the biggest lesson here is to look up, which I rarely, if ever, do. The star monster can be spotted from a distance, although it is quite difficult to do so as the entire facility is quite dark. You should always have a flashlight with enough battery on it so you can check the ceilings in a room.

Unfortunately, these monsters aren't the only things lurking in the dark, so you'll need to monitor the rest of the environment as well. In doing so, it can be easy to lose an asterisk waiting pass under it. If another monster is chasing you, then chances are you won't see it until you're already in the air.

However, do not despair as there is a way for you to go down with the help of your teammates (if you are alone, then despair). If your teammates are nearby, shout to indicate that you are in danger. Fortunately, the starfish damage you quite slowly, so they will have time to find you and find something to throw.

Bones are always good to throw if you can find some quickly. With how many times I was up in the air, I started carrying them around and just walking around in the dark because you can't use a flashlight at the same time.

If your teammate has been captured, hold Q to charge a throw and aim it at the starfish; it should let go. If you get caught, drop all your items so your teammates have more ammo. Hopefully, they'll have a good enough target to save you before the ceiling monster gets you.
