A bizarre bug plagues the world of Wuthering Waves (WuWa). The most recent hotfix patch 5.27 seems to have broken the game’s music; many players are reporting issues with the game’s sound dropping out. Keep reading to learn about some solutions.
Wuthering Waves no music does it right
First: the no music and sound bug in Wuthering Waves is completely on the side of the game and not your end, so don’t tear your hair out trying to fix it for good. One can hope that developer Kuro Games is aware of the issue (as well as everyone else like lag and stuttering) and is working on a repair for the next bit of the game.
The source of the bug originates from the game transportation system, with the music or sound often cutting out completely when players try to teleport using a Resonance Beacon or Nexus. Additionally, High-Tabulation to a different application or window on your computer also triggers the problem.
However, there are a few tricks you can try to fix the no music bug while we wait for a more permanent fix:
- Just give it a try log out and log back in into the game.
- Try it starting over the game completely.
- You should make sure you are collecting all the rewards after defeating a world boss, as the bug also sometimes appears when you don’t collect your rewards and then teleport to another location after the battle is over.
- Just to be sure, try disconnecting and reconnecting yours sound device. Like I said, it’s highly unlikely that it’s a problem on your end, but you never know.
- Avoid Alt-Tab first.
If you still can’t hear any dialogue or audio during battle, you should try turn down the music volume to zero and see if you can hear these again. This is because the game’s music can sometimes take over all the other audio in the game.
To do this, open the game Settings menu by clicking the gear icon in the lower right corner of the Pause screen Then, the first menu that should open is the game Sound Settings. Here, just hover over the slider for Music Volume and drag it to the left turn down the music volume.
All in all, don’t worry either – you’re not the only one experiencing a sudden loss of music and sound in Wuthering Waves. A fix is probably already on the way, and there are many, if not inconvenient, solutions for you to try.
