How to get and use Marshmallows in Disney Dreamlight Valley

The End of Summer event has arrived in Disney Dreamlight Valley, complete with campfires, marshmallows and new recipes for you to share with your favorite valley residents! If you’re looking to learn how to get and use marshmallows in your Valley, you’re in luck!

Where to find Marshmallows in Disney Dreamlight Valley

There are two types of marshmallows to find in Disney Dreamlight Valley.

Pink Marshmallows

The Pink Marshmallows appear on three new marshmallow bushes that you will find somewhere in your Valley. Most players seem to find their marshmallow bushes in the Square, which is usually where event bushes spawn.

Two of mine were right next to Scrooge’s store, and the third was next to my house, but I don’t have much space in my Square for them to appear anywhere else.

Look around for deep green bushes with trios of marshmallows growing on them. Despite this cosmetic appearance, you will receive four marshmallows every time you harvest a Marshmallow bush in Disney Dreamlight Valley. Pink Marshmallows respawn every 30 minutes.

You can move the marshmallow bushes in Furniture Mode and it won’t affect how often more marshmallows spawn.

Blue Marshmallows

Remember when we had to run around looking for buttons? Yes, it’s that time again, but now it’s marshmallows.

Blue Marshmallows can spawn anywhere in your Valley. They are hard to find because they are so small, so be sure to scour every corner of your Valley to find them. They only appear outside, thankfully, so you won’t need to run in and out of your residents’ homes.

You can find Blue Marshmallows in these biomes:

  • The Square
  • The Peaceful Meadow
  • Dazzling Beach
  • The Forest of Value
  • The Glade of Faith

Blue Marshmallows spawn every 30 minutes, and there will be a maximum of 12 on the ground at any one time.

If you’re struggling to find marshmallows, I recommend picking up all consumables around your Valley. This includes wood, breaking rocks, watering mushrooms and uprooting the thorns. Some of the Blue Marshmallows could even hide under buildings – which is something I really wish GameLoft would fix.

What recipes use Marshmallows in Disney Dreamlight Valley

When you loaded Disney Dreamlight Valley for the first time on September 4, 2024, you’ll find two new recipes in your inbox for the End of Summer event. These are the Roasted Marshmallows and S’mores recipes.

To make Roasted Marshmallows, you need two Pink Marshmallows and two Blue Marshmallows.

To make S’mores, you need one Pink Marshmallow, one Blue Marshmallow, and two Wheat.

I think the really nice thing about this is that GameLoft didn’t try to make us marshmallows before we could use the new recipes. The idea of marshmallows randomly appearing on bushes and appearing around the Valley is pretty funny.

Along with the two new marshmallow recipes, Disney Dreamlight Valley players will be able to create three new pieces of furniture for their Valley.

  • bonfire
  • Outdoor Lounge Chair
  • Vintage Cooler

These won’t just appear in your crafting list like other items though. If you can’t create the End of Summer event furniture, it’s because of you did not make the marshmallow recipes however. You must cook both the Roasted Marshmallows and S’mores recipes to unlock the three new pieces of furniture.
