How to get the Normal Token in Dust Journey
You can get the Normal Token by defeating all three bosses in the event map called The Gifting. These bosses are spread over several parts of the map and are difficult to defeat due to the different phases. Here’s how you can defeat each of the bosses in The Gift Map to get the Normal Token in Dust Journey.
How to beat the Nutcracker
The first boss, Nutcracker is inside the Toy Factory and along the way you will be given the objective to explore the Toy Factory where you will find this boss. When the battle begins, there will be four phases, and here’s how you can go through each of them.
- Phase 1: There will be touching gifts and you have to avoid them by jumping over them or moving to the side. If you touch them, they will take some of your health.
- Phase 2: Once you get through this phase, the next phase will have you avoid the falling gifts. There will be red marks on where they will fall, so you can avoid them easily.
- Phase 3: In this phase, a spinner will appear and it will randomly change its direction. All you have to do is stay away from it and it will disappear after a while.
- Phase 4: Lastly, the game will create weapons for you and your teammates to hit the given target to reduce the health of the boss. After you reduce 1/3 of its health, you will have to go through all the phases again and do it a total of three times.
How to beat the Snowman
After you defeat the first boss and keep moving, you will arrive at the Snowball Arena, which is about 2,000 meters away. Here you will have to fight the Snowman and his minions. This boss fight is also divided into four phases and here’s how to handle each one.
- Phase 1: During the first phase, the Snowman will throw snowballs at you, which will be very fast and you must avoid taking hits. The best way to avoid them is to move sideways, rather than backwards or forwards towards the boss.
- Phase 2: In this phase, there will be rolling snowballs with their path marked red. You have to avoid their path in order not to lose your health. A good trick to avoid them is to be at the very edge of the arena, where the balls don’t reach.
- Phase 3: In this phase, weapons will appear and the boss will send his minions. You have to use the weapon to defeat the minions and move to the last phase.
- Phase 4: Here the boss will be frozen and you have to start attacking to drain its health. After you reduce about 33% of his health, all phases will repeat and you have to exhaust 33% more health and then do the same thing one last time.
How to defeat the Krampus
Finally, we have Krampus, who is located at the Christmas Town beyond the 3,000 meter mark. Since he is the last boss, he is more difficult to defeat compared to the other two and there are five phases for this boss.
- Phase 1: At first, Krampus will throw gift boxes at you and from those, smaller gift boxes will split and they will explode. All you have to do is keep moving sideways and avoid getting hit by the boxes and their explosions.
- Phase 2: In this phase, Krampus will start sending down snowballs at you and they will rain anywhere the red indicator touches. Use your stamina to pass the marker and avoid getting hit.
- Phase 3: Here Krampus will send his minions to attack you, but the weapons will also appear, so use those to kill them.
- Phase 4: As soon as you defeat the minions, Krampus will send green extending radioactive waves at you. Use timely jumps to avoid those and move to the last phase.
- Phase 5. After that, he will send the gift boxes to you just like in the first phase but he will be immobilized at the end, allowing you to lower his health. You will have to repeat all phases three times to defeat this boss and get the normal token.
