Ruin Beast Raid Master Guide Avatar – Cookie Run Kingdom
With the Shadow of The Destroyer update, the Avatar of Ruin Beast Raid was added to Cookie Run Kingdom. It is definitely one of the most complex boss fights and requires a combination of the right team, skills and a bit of luck. While the first few difficulties may be relatively easy to clear, you will face the most difficult challenge of clearing the final Master mode. So, to help clear that up, here’s a complete breakdown of what you need to do.
How to Unlock Ruin Master Mode Avatar?
If you try to try the Ruin Beast Raid Avatar Master mode right from shutdown, you will see that it is locked. To unlock this mode, you must remove all previous difficulties from Easy to Expert. If you face difficulties in clearing some previous levels, you can still refer to this guide as it would provide the exact settings that work for each difficulty.
Additionally, you will need a special item called “Beast Raid: Avatar of Ruin Ticket” try these stages. You can get one ticket every six hours, and buy two more tickets every day for 400 Crystals.
Best teams for Avatar of Ruin beast attack in Cookie Run Kingdom
The most important part of the beast attack is choosing the right teams. You can bring up to three teams in this mode, and switch between them during battle. For the Avatar of Ruin boss, these are the three team compositions you should try to have:
Team 1
Your first team should consist mostly of Fire Cookies. This team would be yours main damager as the Avatar of Ruin is only vulnerable to Burn debuffs, and immune to all others. Here’s a complete breakdown of the team:
A cookie | Priority | Reason |
---|---|---|
Scorching Spice Cookie | Essential | Burning Spice Cookie is a must for Avatar of Ruin’s Master mode. It can permanently deal burn damage while dealing high burst damage with its ability. |
Tarte Tatin Cookie | Essential | Another essential DPS for your team that can excel at dealing Fire Damage and dealing Burn damage. |
Cream Puroon Cookie | Essential | Probably the best support cookie for this mode. It can shield, heal and buff all your allied cookies to increase the DPS. |
Street Urchin Cookie | Replaceable | A good bomb cookie to provide extra burst DPS that can deal extra damage when supported by Cream Ferret and Burning Spice cookies. |
Nutmeg Tiger Cookie | Replaceable | Another good support cookie that can also provide extra DPS and summon minions to tank damage. |
While the top team would be the most optimal arrangementthere are some substitute cookies that you can use if you don’t have any of them. Cream Unicorn Cupcake can be used to replace Nutmeg Tiger as she can provide similar support to your team.
Similarly, you can use Pitaya Dragon or Rye Cookie as an alternative to Street Urchin Cookie. As for treasures, the Sleepyhead’s Jelly Watch or Squishy Jelly Watch is a must for this alignment.
Team 2
For your second team, you should create a Cookie layout of water/land type that can take the shield of the Avatar of Ruin that appears between phases of the boss. Here’s a complete breakdown of which cookies you should have:
A cookie | Priority | Reason |
---|---|---|
Burnt Cheese Cookie | Essential | One of the most reliable Earth-type frontline cookies that can tank most Avatar of Ruin hits while also dishing out decent DPS. |
Golden Cheesecake | Essential | Advanced Earth-type DPS is essentially the core of this lineup. With the right build, she will be the one to quickly break the boss’s shield. |
Sea Fairy Cookie | Essential | The Sea Fairy is a Water-type bomber that will deal a ton of water DMG. She excels at dealing burst damage with her explosive abilities. |
Mozzarella Cookie | Replaceable | A support and magic damager that can boost every Tertype ally while also dealing decent DPS. |
Captain Caviar Cookie | Replaceable | Like the Sea Fairy Cookie, the Captain Caviar Cookie is also here to dish out Water DMG with its explosive abilities. |
You can either equip the Old Pilgrim’s Scroll or the Dream Director’s Whistle to this alignment for treasure.
Team 3
Your third team is not as important as the top two and basically serves as a backup if your second team hits any of Ruin’s Avatar’s abilities. Here is the setup you can have for this team:
A cookie | Priority | Reason |
---|---|---|
Fettuccine Cookie | Essential | A strong Earth-type defensive cookie that can work as a good alternative like the Burnt Cheese Cookie. |
Black Pearl Cookie | Essential | One of the strongest Water-type DPS cookies that can deal tons of Water DMG in bursts. |
Peppermint Cookie | Essential | A strong water-type support cookie that can heal all allied cookies while also providing useful subscriptions like DMG Resist and Debuff Resist. |
Snapdragon cookie | Replaceable | Another strong support cookie that can increase your team’s ATK, provide healing and also have decent DPS. |
Mystic Flower Cookie | Replaceable | One of the best support cookies to have on your team, but the only downside is that she’s pretty hard to get. |
Any of the Jelly Watches or the Whistle of the Dream Director is a good treasure choice for this lineup.
Avatar of Ruin Master Mode Strategy
It is two phases to the Avatar of Ruin Master Mode Beast Raid. The second phase starts when the boss’s HP drops below 50%. Each phase requires a unique strategy to complete, so here’s what you need to do.
Phase 1
The first phase is when you will have to deal most of your damage. During this phase, the boss is immune to all debuffs except Burn and takes increased Fire DMG (250% of base) so your A fire-type team must be deployed first. When you pull out the boss’s shield in this phase, two of its feet will appear.
The paws take increased damage from Water- and Ground-type attacks, so you’ll need to switch to your second or third team to deal with them. After you hit the feet, you’ll need to tap a few times to break the shield. Repeat this until the boss’s HP drops below 50%.
Phase 2
During the second phase, the boss will launch abilities that you will have to avoid. The Ruinous Blade ability can one-shot your entire team if you don’t dodge properly.
Unfortunately, the dodging is completely random, so if you’re unlucky, you may have to start the run all over again. The advantage is that this phase is not that long, so you will have to avoid a maximum of 2-3 skills.
